Why the name BUERRO?
When we founded the studio, all of our names didn’t fit on the doorbell. So we had to come up with a representative name that we could all identify with and that was clear on how it was pronounced and spelled. Instead, we went for BUERRO.
Do you always cook together in your well-equipped kitchen and have extensive lunches at a long, long dining table at the center of the studio?
Yes. Not all of us and not always. But yes.
Why don't you mention the espresso machine like every other studio in Mitte?
We think that a proper bathroom is more important than a coffee machine. And who would mention the bathroom?
Do you do collaborations?
Not in general. When projects occur where working together makes sense, we do.
Sounds awesome - do you have a vacant spot?
We have no vacant spots right now. Check again after our next rent increase.
Wieso ausgerechnet BUERRO?
Als wir das Studio gegründet haben, haben nicht alle Namen auf das Klingelschild gepasst. Also mussten wir uns einen repräsentativen Namen einfallen lassen, mit dem wir uns alle identifizieren konnten und bei dem klar war, wie er ausgesprochen und geschrieben wird. Stattdessen entschieden wir uns für BUERRO.
Kocht Ihr immer gemeinsam in Eurer voll gut ausgestatteten Küche und esst dann ausgiebig zu Mittag an einem langen, langen Esstisch in der Mitte des Studios?
Ja. Nicht alle von uns und nicht immer. Aber ja.
Warum erwähnt Ihr nicht die Espressomaschine, so wie jedes andere Studio in Mitte?
Wir sind der Meinung, dass ein ordentliches Badezimmer wichtiger ist als eine Kaffeemaschine. Und wer würde schon das Bad erwähnen?
Arbeitet Ihr auch zusammen?
Normal nicht. Manchmal kommen Projekte, wo sich eine Zusammenarbeit anbietet. Dann ja.
Das klingt toll - habt Ihr noch einen Platz frei?
Momentan nicht, aber vielleicht nach unserer nächsten Mieterhöhung.
